Sermorelin is generally well tolerated and considered safe when administered under appropriate medical supervision. Sermorelin does not accumulate in the body and has a relatively short half-life, which further reduces its long-term risk profile. The most notable contraindications include known hypersensitivity to Sermorelin or any component of the injection formulation, as well as caution in patients with active malignancy. Although data is limited, theoretical concerns exist regarding the stimulation of tumor growth in hormone-sensitive cancers due to elevated IGF-1 levels.

Overall, Sermorelin offers a favorable safety profile, particularly for individuals seeking a physiologic and regulated approach to growth hormone restoration. Routine follow-up, individualized dosing, and lab-based monitoring of IGF-1 levels are recommended to ensure therapeutic efficacy and avoid unnecessary overstimulation.
